To Correct or Not to Correct? What are Correctors?

Ever see those weird different pastel colored concealers and wonder, what the heck do those do?!

Well they’re color correctors.

I recently bought Wet n Wild’s “CoverALL Correcting Palette” interested in what correctors are and what they do.

I already knew that the color “Green” cancels out any redness. I have Maybelline’s Cover Stick Corrector Concealer in Green and I use it mostly for random pimples that may be red and irritated. Green correctors are also good for people with redness from acne, rosacea, and pretty much any other redness you would have. Maybelline Cover Stick Corrector Concealer

Purple/Blue: helps to brighten and illuminate the skin, better for yellow tones or ones who have unwanted yellow tones. NYX Concealer in a Jar

yellowYellow:  Cancels out blue-purple under eyes especially bruising, dark patches on tan, olive and darker tones. Benefit’s Lemon aid color correcting eyelid primer

orangeOrange: Great for darker skin tones looking to hide dark circles and other deep discolored areas. L’oreal Studio Secrets “Medium/Deep Skin”.

pinkPink: Covers mild green and yellow hues. Helps to brighten overly olive, sallow skin. Bobbi Brown Corrector in “Bisque”.

So next time you see they interesting colors, don’t be afraid. Find the right concealer for your trouble areas and try it out!
